DR9 Rectangle Concrete Coffee Table | Missing Link with Glass

DR9 is a “Missing Link” in my Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee Table Series.


The only reason for such name is the design of legs supporting concrete table top, they are simply not intertwined with it. The physical connection between the two main parts of this table has been created by steel rods protruding from both shorter sides of a rectangle shaped top concrete block.


This particular piece of contemporary, solid precast concrete furniture will be hand crafted in three colors: charcoal, white, or gray. Integral pigmentation of concrete mix ensures uniform coloring which is very beneficial in case of accidental chipping – damaged area will have the same color as finished surface.


Just like most of the concrete coffee tables in Link Series (except for DR1 and DR2) there will be only 3 pieces of the pictured table design made (one in each color). After receiving 3 orders I will retire this model completely or re-design it / alter its appearance.


DR9 comes with a half inch thick, wire mesh reinforced safety glass sheet, which is 2″ wide x 16″ long. Glass is removable, installed / supported by exposed steel rods inside a 1.75″ thick concrete table top cut-out.


Missing Link contemporary concrete coffee table surfaces are polished, sealed, and waxed to provide maximum resistance to stains and elements if placed outside. However, to maintain its resistance, protective substances will need to be reapplied especially if exposed to significant temperature changes, frost, snow, etc.


The pictured concrete coffee table top is 32″ wide, 42″ long, and suspended 16″ above the floor surface. With its supporting structure the overall length comes to 50″ and height 20″. Base and side legs are 16 inches wide and have the same 1.75″ thickness as the top. Please specify in a quote request form below if you’d like to slightly alter them to better fit your particular environment.


To protect surfaces beneath the table, such as hardwood floor or tiles, its base will be finished with non-marking material.

DR6 Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee Table Series | Double Link

DR6 / Double Link is another square representative of the Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee table series.


Two “Links” are better, right? Except it gets quite complicated designing and creating interlacing forms that can turn such idea into a concrete coffee table in a single pour of concrete. But I love challenges and two “Links” are definitely better than 4 legs and a top :-) .


DR6 comes in one piece of solid precast concrete, all verticals and horizontals are 1.75″ thick. The dimensions of a table you can see on images above are as follows:


Square table top: 45” x 45” (with two supporting Links: 45″ wide x 52″ long)


Table top surface height: 18″


Link dimensions: 22″ high with top section projection 18″ x 11”


Some size adjustments are possible but you need to specify it while completing the quote request form below.


Concrete coffee table’s top and supporting structure are jointed together with metal rods or rod-pipe combination. What you see on pictures is 1/2″ diameter rebar which can be painted to pretty much any color you like. Optionally you have a choice of copper (natural or browned) or stainless steel (smooth or brushed) pipe. Their surface will be sealed to prevent discoloration.


Integral pigmentation of concrete (color is added during mixing process) ensures uniform color and comes handy if the coffee table gets chipped since the concrete beneath retains the same color as the finished surface.


DR6 contemporary concrete coffee table will perform fine in the interior or exterior of your house. However, specifying its anticipated location will ensure application of the most suitable sealing agent.


There’s a choice of 3 colors while ordering DR6: charcoal, white, or light gray and only one coffee table of this design will be manufactured in each of those colors. Once orders are placed this concrete coffee table design will be retired or altered.


The two legs that come in direct contact with floor surface are finished with a protective non-marking surface.

DR1 Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee Table Series | The Link

The Link - Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee Table Series foundation, sort of…


Although “The Link” design is a base for the coffee tables in my Chain Link series it was not created as a first one. It evolved from DR3 (open bottom link table) supporting section and since it can serve multiple purposes I decided not to limit its production.


Like most of the concrete coffee tables in Chain Link series “The link” is a solid precast concrete design as well, there are no fillers of any kind (such as foam, Styrofoam, etc.). All of its walls are 1.75″ thick but can be made thicker for even bolder appeal.


The two interlacing elements in “The Link” are created without any seams, with exposed metal bars at the center section. When placing your order you have a choice of: 1/2” diameter iron bar, copper tubing, or stainless steel tubing.


DR1 concrete coffee table is currently available in 3 colors of concrete: charcoal, light gray, and / or white. The concrete is integrally pigmented which helps in achieving uniform color. Integral pigmentation is also beneficial in case of accidental dents / chips, damaged areas will simply retain the same color as the undamaged surface of The Link.


Although concrete is suitable for exterior and interior applications you should specify the anticipated placement environment while ordering so an appropriate sealer can be applied.


Finished surfaces are polished to achieve various levels of smoothness (based on your order), sealed, and waxed.


Although “The Link” dimensions are:16”W x 16”L x 21”H (width x length x height) you can specify different size and we’ll let you know if its feasible to create a design within such constraints.


“The Link” concrete coffee table has no top or bottom and any of its surfaces can be used as a base. Therefore, none of the faces have non-marking surface built into it and self adhesive pads are provided / can be applied accordingly.

DR2 Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee Table Series | End Table

DR2 – the End Table


The concept behind DR2 – the concrete End Table, second in my Chain Link Contemporary Concrete Coffee Table series was to create a smaller version of a regular size coffee table, an extension that can used in various environments.


It offers horizontal square surface (21″ x 21″) suspended slightly off-center on a concrete leg 18″ from the floor. Table section and the “Link” are connected together with metal bars or pipes which are partially exposed / visible. You have a choice of: 1/2” diameter iron bar, copper tubing, and stainless steel tubing which can be used in a project.


Concrete End Table section dimensions:  21”W x 21”L x 18”H (width x length x table surface height)


Link dimensions: 8″W x 20″L x 25″H with thicker, table supporting section 7″ x 7″


Wall / top thickness is 1.75″.


Because of its asymmetrical design, DR2 – the concrete End Table can be purchased in left and / or right version – with wider (7″) section located on the right or left. Also, just like DR1, its production will not be limited, you can order any number of left/right pieces in any of the three colors currently available: charcoal, white, or light gray.The concrete is integrally pigmented which helps in achieving uniform color.


The table is a solid precast concrete with no fillers of any kind. There are also no connections, seams, or assembly, it is created as one piece.


The concrete End Table is suitable for interior and exterior installation which you should specify while placing an order. This will ensure application of the best sealer for your choice of environment. All surfaces are polished to achieve various levels of smoothness (based on your order), sealed, and waxed.


The base of the concrete End Table is finished with non-marking surface to protect your floor from scratches.
